Responsibilities
• Lead all aspects of the monthly accounting close • Record all in month journal entries • Lead a detailed accrual process to ensure all in month expenses are captured in proper period • Prepare and work with Data Analytics team to download and compile Revenue entries in accordance with ASC 606 for review prior to posting by Head of Accounting • Reconcile and finalize all Balance Sheet reconciliations with proper supporting documents (Cash, AR, Prepaid, AP, etc….) • Prepare quarterly stock based compensation entries • Oversee and assist HR team with bi-weekly payroll process • Compile all Financial Statement variance analysis, along with a by vendor P&L analysis with flux explanations • Compile Financial Statement packages for Head of Accounting to review • Prepare and submit all monthly and quarterly sales tax state filings • Lead and/or assist on various projects • Finance Responsibilities: • Compile Budget vs Actual, by business line and by vendor analysis • Support in compiling monthly board decks and investor relation materials • Support on business development deals, and ensuring all contracts are properly vetted and in the best interest of the company (terms, payments, etc...) • Assist in financial modeling upkeep • Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow projections • Lead and/or assist on various ad-hoc projects
Additional requirements (other than skills)
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance • 3+ years of Accounting or Finance Experience, SaaS or Marketplace companies a plus • Sound understanding of US GAAP • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • The ability to multi-task and support on several projects on top of completing day to day work • Detail oriented with a penchant for preparing meticulously accurate work • Desire to grow and learn • Proficient in Quickbooks and Excel
