We are currently seeking a high-energy and driven Sales Solution Specialist with knowledge of aggregation services management (ASM) technology and solid business-to-business sales and account management experience. In this newly created role, you will be working with Calix account teams selling our AXOS E9-2 portfolio of solutions.

As part of our Sales team, you will be selling to new Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts along with established Calix customers. You will work with Calix Product and Marketing Leadership to bring to market a new generation of ASM and Layer 3 solutions as we blaze a new trail in software defined access. You will execute on the account plan to deliver maximum revenue potential and manage complete and complex sales-cycles often presenting to C-level executives the value of our full suite of software applications. You will forecast sales activity and revenue using salesforce, while creating relationships to satisfy our customers. You will be tasked with evangelizing the Calix software vision through product demonstrations, in-market events, and account specific initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales or pre-sales and account management experience
  • In depth understanding of the Communications Service Provider business with specific focus on cloud enabled solutions
  • In depth understanding of Layer 3, edge routing, lawful intercept, subscriber policy management and Access aggregation
  • Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the CEO/CFO level
  • Ability to create transformative vision and value proposition, selling business value to customers across various lines of business leveraging an ROI model
  • Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) in past positions
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles while demonstrating ownership of all aspects of territory management
  • Comfortable and compelling both on the phone, and in the boardroom
  • Strong computer skills, including salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Candidates must be competitive, cooperative, collaborative and work well with internal and external customers
  • Future Travel up to 50%

Desired Experience:

  • Service Provider SDN, NFV, L3, L3 routing and software expertise strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of L3 Multiservice Architectures, Subscriber Policy Management, IP routing protocols, Security, and VPNs
  • Understanding of Broadband Access Aggregation solutions for Business and Residential Triple Play services
  • Familiarity with business services at is relates to VPN’s services (B2B, B2C)
  • Experience selling into Tier 2 and 3 Service Provider customers
  • Extensive Senior Engineering and Operational level contacts within Tier 2/3 Service Providers
  • Experience in a partner / reseller solutions sales role is desired
  • Previous Sales Methodology training, CRM experience, and strong customer references preferred
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in a technical field strongly preferred
