Lovevery is looking for a Technical Marketing Manager to oversee our data infrastructure across various marketing platforms. This person will support validation of GTM tags, marketing pixels, various events and overall data cleanliness and integrity through the Google Analytics products suite. The following attributes in a candidate are essential to success in this role:

  • Communication —We aim to hire team members that communicate well with internal partners as well as with outside partners. This is a connective role with important bridging across marketing and development teams. You are skilled at structured and complete communication, and you are comfortable articulating what needs to be done when things are ambiguous.
  • Passion for data -- You will be a key owner of the rules behind the transformation of data into insights, and responsible for surfacing reliable results to drive recommendations and reporting. You will be thoughtful about the relevant data points needed and obsessed with accurate data that can be understood and leveraged by the business.
  • Driven towards holistic understanding -- You will be self-motivated to understand the full picture behind our data rather, continually poke holes in our current beliefs, and work cross functionally to improve the capture and transformation of relevant data and insights.
  • Startup mindset –- You will often have to find creative short-term solutions to get to an answer and be aware of and communicate the potential pitfalls in the data you were able to compile, while considering the ideal future state and communicating requirements to internal or external partners.

Accountabilities:

  • Aptitude to quickly become the functional expert and oversee governance for Google Tag Manager (GTM) across multiple environments and geographies. This includes ensuring triggers and tags are utilized, working as expected and reviewed frequently.
  • Work as primary account contact with Lovevery’s Google Analytics 360 partner, InfoTrust. Partner with marketing and data teams to help solidify the data roadmap and identification of dependencies. Ensure upcoming product features are well understood by stakeholders and necessary lead-times are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Evangelize the future of Google Analytics, with GA4, across the organization. Help realize a successful future-state of Lovevery data tracking across both web and app products.
  • Lead out on data product discovery to solutions for data tracking challenges centered around Intelligent Tracking Protection (ITP), including cross-device and browser cookie tracking, and partner with development on server-side solutioning.
  • Own the Google Analytics platform, both in implementation and integrity. This includes: monitoring and updating of channel attributions, creation of goals, management of segments and filters and more.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements for reporting and onsite data tracking needs; both in GTM events as well as code-based data layer events. Support implementation of Google Analytics data tracking to improve overall web analytics and customer insights.
  • Work closely with eCommerce, product management and UI/UX on compiling A/B testing analytics and providing strategic thought partnership on key insights.
  • Manage centralized documentation around analytics implementation, variances, and operational cadence to improve knowledge-share throughout the organization.
  • Consult cross-functional teams on analytics best practices and needs in conjunction with roadmap work stream.

Qualifications and attributes:

  • 3+ years experience in digital marketing analytics; ideally in the ecommerce industry
  • Proven experience in successfully managing external partnerships
  • Experience in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Digital Marketing Analytics
  • Ability to both create a strategic vision along with a willingness to execute
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks at one time through excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Looker, Google Data Studio and other 3rd party analytics tools a plus
  • Experience in validating marketing pixels directly within marketing suites
  • Strong communicator, experience working with non-technical stakeholders a plus
  • BS/BA in a quantitative degree
