Why this opportunity exists

As a Sales Development Representative, you will work directly with our leadership team as a critical function within our fast-growing sales organization. Sitting at the top of our sales funnel, you will be interacting with business leaders to understand their needs, the competitive landscape and key stakeholders. Often as the first point of contact for potential customers, you will also be tasked with making a great first impression and clearly articulating the value proposition of Yelp’s suite of products and how we can support and drive revenue for Midmarket businesses. Based on performance, this role is a launching point into several different career paths within the Multi-Location sales organization. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be exposed to departments such as sales, marketing, product, and business analytics. • You will research the Midmarket segment, identify key stakeholders and establish a fit for a Yelp Ads product • You will initiate first point of contact with potential Midmarket customers • You will reach out to the best leads in our top markets • You will analyze data to optimize sales efficiency • You will coordinate closely with the sales organization to create opportunities for the sales team, including setting appointments with key decision makers • You will partner with our marketing team, to ensure marketing qualified leads receive efficient and timely follow-up; and help define sales follow-up approaches that scale • You will learn the competitive landscape of the Midmarket space • You will gain extensive knowledge of the industry’s leading CRM tool, Salesforce • You will learn how to communicate with key stakeholders in Midmarket sized businesses and within the Multi-Loc sales organization • You will have exposure and active interactions with marketing, product, finance, business analytics, etc.

• You have strong computer and email skills • You have experience with Salesforce or similar CRM knowledge (preferred) • You have a positive attitude and a drive to win • You have the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time within a fast-paced environment • You have an appetite for learning! You’re keen on turning training and feedback into action and continuous self-improvement • You are committed to a high standard of integrity and work ethic • You are an effective communicator through verbal, written, and face-to-face interactions • You have a strong attention to detail, and are able to listen with the intention of relying important information across several business units • You are genuinely curious about people, regional local businesses, and are passionate about supporting business growth • You are adaptable and can think on your feet - when faced with new challenges, or tough conversations, failure simply isn't an option.
