Why this opportunity exists

• You’re a machine learning engineer who loves coming up with creative solutions to multifaceted problems like search relevance. You evaluate your solutions using online metrics such as purchase rates, revenue per visit, and other metrics truly important to a retail business. You see vanity metrics from a mile away and immediately call them out. You strive to develop fully automated pipelines and models that work seamlessly and as widely as possible, given different data contexts such as language or signal density. You take pride in your reliable code and embrace automated testing as unequivocally good. You are motivated to balance cutting edge technology with stability and robustness to build something truly useful. You want to build things you can be proud of, and work with an international team of experienced, passionate engineers. • As a Machine Learning Engineer in the Search team, you'll be designing and delivering the models that are at the core of our ranking algorithms. From research and experimentation to productionizing and a/b testing, you will be working on all stages of result quality projects. You’ll help determine which metrics we need to optimize to keep customers happy, and which technologies we use to help users find what they need as efficiently as possible.
