Why this opportunity exists

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Visual Product Designer to join the Life360 Product Design team. This individual will help evolve and elevate the Life360 product to create experiences that are user-friendly, delightful, and scalable for our users.

Responsibilities

• Delight and inspire users by creating high-quality concepts and hi-fidelity UI mocks that incorporate beautiful typography, iconography, illustration and color theory • Produce hi-fidelity prototypes that incorporate delight, enthusiasm and motivation via microinteractions, transitions and animations • Develop a range of visual design and UI explorations for various product design solutions and concepts • Function as an integral part of the product design team by providing visual design solutions that inspire and direct the product • Interpret the Life360 Brand Guidelines into a visual design system and language (iconography, illustration, etc) for the iOS and Android platforms • Work closely with the rest of the design team to streamline the design process and prioritize new projects based on company goals and business objectives • Support our Design System effort by contributing to Life360’s UI Kit and Design System • Regularly present your work to senior leaders for review and feedback

Additional requirements (other than skills)

• Strong visual design and prototyping skills with the proven history of launching a products as a visual designer • Mastery in visual storytelling • Strong typography, iconography and illustration skills • Formal degree in Graphic Design or related fields • A thorough mastery on the foundations of visual and UI design • Understanding of the product design process • Expertise with relevant design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and others • Expertise with Principle or other prototyping tools to create delightful interactions within the product • A holistic understanding of iOS and Android Design patterns • Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers • Excellent communication skills—you’re comfortable sharing conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually • A positive attitude is a must—we welcome healthy discussion and debate, and ultimately put ideas ahead of egos • To be considered, a link to your portfolio with relevant work samples must be included.
