Responsibilities
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do: • Create new Java based micro-services on BrightInsight Platform. • Software design and implementation on cloud-based platform and backend services running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Understand, design and participate in architecture of services, application gateways, networking, etc. • Produce clear, concise, and well-written technical design documents. • Implement services with features like: - Interaction with other micro-services. - Security of services. - Logging, monitoring. - Integration with other external clouds. • Collaborate with the test team for micro-services testing.
Additional requirements (other than skills)
• Professional / specialization / master's degree in systems engineering or equivalent work experience. • Strong understanding of the software design/architecture process • Experience with unit testing . • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies. • Java backend developer with strong knowledge of Java language. •Experience working in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform. •Familiar with Java Spring and SpringBoot technology. Familiarity building microservices. •Experience with tools such as Github, Jenkins. Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. •Experience developing and extending in-house APIs and writing client side code which interacts with other APIs (RESTful). • Solid English verbal communication skills. • Very strong English written communication skills.
