Reporting

The QA Specialist reports to QA Manager.

Overview

QA Specialists are the backbone of the QA Team, with the majority of their focus on billable client work. The QA Specialist is responsible for making sure that every email campaign is error-free, matches project requirements and is structurally sound (i.e. no business critical rendering issues are present or functionality is broken). They will adhere to internal QA processes and make recommendations for process improvements. The QA Specialist will work with internal teams to escalate errors found in emails and ensure they are resolved. This position requires a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills as the main goal of this role is to find errors and communicate with other teams to resolve them. QA Specialists focus the most on client billable work with a utilization target of 100% for billable work.

Individual Responsibilities

  • Ensure that email campaigns are compliant in the following areas:
    • Project Requirements
      • Ensure that proper checks are done for each email campaign based on the project requirements outlined in the project documentation
    • Content
      • Verify images and copy are correct according to documentation, and that copy is free of obvious typos or grammatical errors
    • Links
      • Test functionality & verify correct destination URL and tracking codes
    • Rendering
      • Check for business critical rendering errors across designated email environments
    • Deployment Setup
      • Verify setup in the clients’ email service provider and confirm send date & time
  • Identify errors and escalate to appropriate teams for resolution
  • Work with other QA Team members to maintain and follow internal QA standards
  • Take ownership of projects as they come into QA, including collaboration with QA Manager, Traffic Manager, and Account Team on:
    • Timelines
    • Project requirements
    • Delegating tasks to other QA team members
    • Being accountable for final approval
  • Collaborate with team members on ways to improve internal processes
  • Actively work toward a 100% external error-free rate

  • 0-2 years professional experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and accountable - the right candidate takes a lot of pride in their work
  • Organized and able to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
