Why this opportunity exists

Lighthouse is looking for an experienced Sr. Product Owner to provide product management for the enterprise data warehouse and related applications and data stores. This is highly critical, visible a role that requires a person who can move from broad strategic vision to highly tactical execution. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, and have excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. If you have a passion for technology, a data driven mindset, a strong point of view of the role of enterprise data, and making products that are integral to the success of our company, we would like to talk to you! Must be a self-starter and have a talent for collecting & synthesizing information from across the business, and pulling that information together into an organized and cohesive strategy. He or she must have experience building and creating relationships with internal customers who are key business and enterprise stakeholders. The Product Owner must be a domain expert in enterprise data, business intelligence and data lakes.


• Product owner for enterprise data warehouse and related applications and data stores with a scrum team of analysts, developers, testers and others working in an agile environment that completes work in 2 week sprints and releases updates monthly or as needed. • Lead the gathering, organizing and normalizing of user and business requirements for the implementation of an Azure-based enterprise data warehouse. • Facilitates meetings to gain consensus across stakeholders and provide senior partners with delivery of findings and recommendations. Confirm that product requirements are met and inform key stakeholders and leadership of risk impacts or changes to the product. Drive continuous communications and alignment among EDW stakeholders such as Enterprise Data, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Project Management, Consulting, Marketing, and Sales disciplines. • Create presentations to explain roadmap, issues, options, plans and ensuing best practices. • Partner with EDW stakeholders across the business to develop and maintain the product backlog in line with product strategy and business value. Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to align work priorities with maximum value to the product strategy. • Maintain several weeks of fully groomed sprints for the scrum development team, ensuring product backlog items are always correctly prioritized. Create User Stories from business requirements with the voice of the customer. Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and user story details. • Lead planning of product releases and communicating delivery expectations for new features. Collaborate with stakeholders to create release plans. • Ensure adherence to enterprise data management and data governance regulations and policies. • Act as champion for the product team and intervene on matters that create roadblocks to individual or organizational success. • Stay on top of new trends and best practices in Agile/Scrum.

Additional requirements (other than skills)

• Exceptional project management and organizational skills, as well as managing timelines, deliverables and expectations from a wide array of stakeholders. • Experience managing executive expectations and presenting information and KPIs to executive teams. • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to lead effectively across functions (operations, engineering, sales, etc.). • Proven track record of simultaneously managing full product lifecycle, from concept to feature decisions to timely launch, on multiple products. • Knowledge of Agile Scrum required, Scaled Agile is a plus. • Possess a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution. • Proven track record of improving product management processes within an organization. • Proven strategic planning ability and track record of supporting profitable business growth. • Strong business and financial acumen (including understanding of return on investment, cost structures, budgets, etc.). • Passion, clear articulation of ideas, preference for action, and a strong work ethic are critical.

Career path

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields. Product Management and relevant certifications a plus. • 5+ years of experience in enterprise data warehouse, data lake and cloud transformation initiatives. Experience in eDiscovery, Information Governance, data lakes, enterprise document management, information archiving, or related field a plus. • 5+ years of demonstrated success in product ownership and management or equivalent experience delivering products to market.
