At Ballast Lane, we are looking for a senior designer, she/he will help us to translating customer stories and requirements into functional and pleasing web and mobile application designs including wireframes, detailed views, workflows, high fidelity look and feel, and animations. Our designer will work on one or more client projects as part of the team defining the features and look and feel of an application. Also, our designer will spend time discussing and fleshing out features based on user stories (like an X, I want to do Y to accomplish Z) and translate these discussions into prototypes and detailed designs. • Define the vision for a product or service. • Design and prototype elegant solutions for mobile and web applications. • Work cross-functionally with product and engineering partners to represent the design team and facilitate design discussions. • Identify user needs, sketch solutions with prototypes, test ideas with design researchers, and refine designs with data and user feedback. • Present design work to clients, as well as the design, engineering, and product teams for review and feedback. • Manage the design process and your work from concept to completion.
• You are a self-starter and comfortable working independently. • You enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders on tough problems and have a proven record of effective user advocacy. • Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills, as well as a track record of effectively advocating for and evangelizing user-centered design.
